New Markets Open Up for Online Gaming Operators in Europe
With the regulations regarding online gaming in Europe easing a bit, new markets have opened for online gambling operators in the continent. With the change in regulations, operators like 32Red are trying to make their entry into new markets in the continent. 32Red’s chief executive said in a recent statement that the company has begun to target countries like Italy.
Rosy outlook for 32Red
32Red has been doing good business in the recent months and has scaled new heights this year. It is expected that the company will come out with impressive results by the end of the year, for which enormous investments are being made currently. The company is also promoting some of its games like roulette aggressively in its aim to draw in more users to the site. The company is also involved in the sponsorship of Swan City, a major team in the Football League, as part of its promotional campaign.
Currently operating with a license from the Government of Gibraltar, 32Red has stated its plan of entering the Italy market with a license and to become an insider in the country’s lobby governments and market. Though the company has also set its sights on Spain, no plans have yet been made owing to the economic situation in the country.
Denmark – another new online gambling market
Denmark is the latest in the list of European countries to join the online gambling industry. The country has even laid out plans for reducing taxes on online gambling. The Gaming Duties Act of Denmark has pointed out that online gambling operators will incur a tax of 20% of their revenue from online games. This is lesser than the 75% levied on certain land based casinos in the country.
The European commission had gone through the plans laid out by Denmark before giving its nod of approval. The commission also stated that the reduction of tax is likely to have positive effects like the liberalization of the gaming market. Several operators of gambling sites have stated that other countries should take up the example of Denmark and make plans for the regulation of online gambling.
